Each Year the Patchings Club Members provide examples of their recent work for a popular exhibition in the Barn Gallery. A feature of the exhibition is the variety of paintings on show, with a wide range of subjects, styles and media which always captures the interest of visitors. The exhibition continues until 1 March.
In the Pavilion is a selection of work from the recent mixed media classes at Patchings. An interesting show of work where the emphasis is on harnessing and developing the characteristics of different media and bringing them together into a single painting, adding to the individuality of the piece. This exhibition also continues until 1 March. A reminder this gallery is open each day from 10am until 4pm.
Indulge Yourself in the Crew Yard Gallery is your personal invitation, which extends until 1 March, to browse around the cabinets and displays to search out a little something for you or maybe a loved one.
In the Image Gallery work by both Pete Bridgwood and Jonathan Horrocks with an exhibition called 'Britain'. The exhibition celebrates our incredible country in all her guises. A real celebration of some wonderful scenery captured by two outstanding landscape photographers.
Entries are now being received for this year's open art competition which has over £17,000 worth of prizes. The competition, now a well established part of the art calendar, is organised jointly by Patchings, The Artist and Leisure Painter magazines. It is a competition open to all, with entries from amateur artists in the Leisure Painter category and for the experienced and professional artists there is The Artist category. Selected entries from each category are on show at Patchings with an exhibition opening at the Festival on 4 June.
The closing date is 27 March giving plenty of time still to enter.
