Festival Review 2009
This year’s Patchings Festival once again has been a successful and well attended event, despite some atrocious weather on Festival Sunday.
The event itself on one occasion brings all that Patchings aims to achieve, a celebration for those who have an interest in art, craft and design. A celebration that included a wealth of talented and skilful exhibitors working and exhibiting in a wide variety of medium. Also participating in the event were some of the major players in the field of art and craft materials. Visitors had the opportunity of meeting members of the technical teams from Winsor and Newton, Derwent and Caran d’Ache. A special occasion indeed to have so much expertise available. The list on the left shows a site plan and the daily programme of workshops and demonstrations that took place.
As previously we are leaving the Festival 09 pages live on the website, we know that many like to have a look at the information and refer to our exhibitor details. These have links to individual websites and have contact details.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all those who took part this year, including exhibitors, demonstrators, art materials suppliers and manufactures, sponsors and supporters. A special thanks also to the ‘Patchings People’ those involved daily with the centre through work, club membership, art school and friends without whom the Festival would not happen.
Dates for 2010 are Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th June.
