The facilities at Patchings are unique and offer a very special setting for a Wedding Reception or Special Party.
With the information below we have listed suggested choices available under the heading of each course.
We are quite happy to respond to any special diets.
If you would like to discuss any matters or wish to view the Centre, please let us know. We have a portfolio of photographs for you to browse through, which give an idea of the setting and possible table layouts.

Menu Choices
A Choice of Starters
- Melon boat
- Melange of green fruits
- Prawn cocktail
- Egg mayonnaise
- Pate with garnish
- Soup, with bread roll and butter
- Feta cheese, tomato and olive platter
Main Courses
- Traditional English Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding
- English Lamb and mint sauce
- Pork with apple sauce
- Turkey and cranberry sauce, with stuffing, chipolata and bacon rolls
- Boneless Fillet of chicken
- Poached salmon fillet with a mushroom sauce
- Vegetarian alternatives:
- Savoury nut roast *
- Country pie – a vegetable and cheese pie with wholemeal pastry *
- Vegetable casserole – a hot pot of aubergines, chick peas, mushrooms onions and tomatoes.
All the Main Courses are served with a selection of vegetables.
* A tomato and basil sauce is served with these two dishes.
Fork Buffet
- Selection of cold meats, honey roast ham, turkey and roast beef
- Fresh salmon
- Vegetarian slice
- Green salad
- Pepper salad
- Coleslaw
- Savoury rice
- Egg mayonnaise and jacket or new potatoes
- Bread rolls
- Pickles and dressings
A Choice of Desserts
- Fresh fruit salad
- Profiteroles with fresh cream and chocolate sauce
- Raspberry trifle with fresh cream
- Traditional home-made apple pie
- Meringue nest served with fresh strawberries and cream
- Selection of cheese, biscuits and fruit
To follow
- Coffee or Tea is served with chocolate mints.
You may prefer coffee to be served after any formalities and speeches, perhaps along with the cake.

Finger Buffet
Ideal for private parties or receptions extending into the evening at £11.50 per person.
- Sandwiches

- Crisps and savouries on sticks

Drinks Package
- Reception drink
- a choice of either a glass of sherry or orange juice or Bucks Fizz
- During the meal
- A glass of house red or white wine
- For the toast
- A glass of sparkling wine
At a cost of £9.50 per person. Additional wine can be served with the meal, charged at our price per bottle. Children's drinks and non alcoholic drinks are also available.
Prices
A set three course meal with tea or coffee from the selection provided is £26.50 per person – inclusive of VAT.
The price allows for one choice from each of the courses with vegetarian alternative. It also includes room hire for exclusive use of the Pavilion and terrace for parties of 60 and over adult guests.
A room hire charge will also be required for the following:
- Groups of under 60
- Those not having the full £26.50 menu
- Parties having only the Finger or Fork Buffet

Weddings
Included in the Wedding Package:
- White tablecloths
- Bud vases with fresh flowers
- Colour co-ordinated serviettes
- Licensed bar
- Terrace gardens for your photographs
- Extensive private parking
The open first floor gallery and the large terrace and garden make delightful extensions to the facilities, although we do ask that children be supervised by an adult at all times in these areas.
We have information on the wedding cake, photography, room decoration and entertainment.The Pavilion is an ideal setting for a disco, a live band or a barn dance.
The Pavilion can accommodate seated parties up to 80. For entertainment and a finger buffet setting we can welcome up to 125 guests. There is ample parking for all.
For smaller parties, the intimate Barn Restaurant is an ideal alternative setting.
Overnight accommodation is available in the Patchings Garden Rooms. All rooms are twin and en suite, please enquire for further information.
