Hopefully this additional information will be helpful in planning a visit to Patchings.
Public Transport to Patchings
Calverton Connection or CC is the bus service operating from Nottingham City Centre to Calverton village. Travelling by public transport will mean a short 15 minute walk to Patchings from the bus stop. Please use this Public Transport from Nottingham link for further information and directions.
Accessibility
All the ground floor rooms have entrances that are accessible, although assistance may be required in
directing visitors to the appropriate entrance. The first floor Barn Gallery has a short flight stairs and no lift. When visiting the Pavilion the car park in front of the building will avoid using the pathway which has an incline and links to the Visitor Centre.
Lavatories and Baby Changing Facilities
These are located in the Café, both Crew Yards and in the Pavilion.
Paths and Garden Walks
There is a variety of uneven surfaces around the grounds and buildings at Patchings. Please ensure you take full responsibility whilst taking care to avoid any trip and hole hazards that are associated with rough grounds in the countryside and the flooring and pathways of old buildings.
Children
All children and young people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. For the comfort of all, other than guide and assistance dogs, they are not permitted in the Patchings Café. Please observe the usual niceties. There is a water bowl in the Café Crew Yard.
Photography
We welcome and encourage photography especially in the gardens and grounds. However it is not permitted in the galleries.
